Hey Zoom if yer gonna get some AF sungrowns go ahead, they are very good from what I have read. The RP sungrowns will be there when you are ready. And in each case you got no down side; they are both damned fine smokes

You must have purchased that bundle of 20 from Cigarsinternational.com. The RP Vin 92 is my favorite but I also enjoy the RP SG. I am surprised you did not enjoy it. Try another one tomorrow and see if you still feel the same way. Everyone has different tastes and the SG might not be your flavor.

Well i just smoked the SG and unfortunatley i didn't have any root beer to go with it so i had one of those starbucks frappuccinos in the glass bottle. I was gonna wait til later in the evening but the weather is so nice in Houston right now. A slight wind with a little bite to it, i couldn't resist.

Anyway, i liked the cigar alot. I thought it was smooth all the way through. Nutty in the beginning then got a little spicy near the end, but stayed smooth. The cold coffee went well with it. I'm definitely gonna try the root beer with the next one i buy.

I bought two of those bundles and never had any of them before.

After everything I've heard about Sungrown's I too was supprised and I hope that I just got a bad one.

I'm going to try one of the Indians tonight, another Indian on Thursday and Saturday I'll try another Sungrown.

I had this last Sungrown with 12 y/o scotch. Maybe that was the problem. I might just go down and buy some rootbeer and a Frappucchino.

I've had the toro and torpedo and enjoyed both. Good blend, had a little spicey kick to it. Try one of the smaller RG's in this guy.

After everything I've read, I think you got a normal one and I just got a bad one or the 6x60 Big Dog is not the way to go on these.

Tell you one thing though, that 6x60 RP Vin 1992 impressed me.

No - not at all in my opinion. I happen to enoy the SG's - and think you should find them sweet and spicey. I have not smoked any of the A size - although I do have some. My very first SG actually sat around in my humidor for a good 4 to 5 months before I got around to smoking it - and I was floored by it. I will say that there is a difference in smoking them brand new verses a little humi time.
I also enjoy the "seconds" when I can get them as sometimes they are out them - like right now as I tried to order some more the other day.

Whenever I go to finish a Sungrown I wish they were 4' longer.

I found them to be a very dry smoke, and peppery and spicy. These are not qualities that I am really into when you combine all three of them. The Sun-Growns are not my cup of tea. There were some burn issues as well, but I seem to always get some burn issues with my RPs. Bad luck, I guess.
