Rp Owr Toro Maduro Review

Well you can read about the prelude to this cigar here:http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showthread.php?t=33992

This cigar has been in my humi for a couple weeks. Cost on these things is $12.00 a stick. To me that puts this cigar amoungst some pretty elite company..(ie, Padron Anni's, Opus, Anejo, VSG, etc.). I have seen where people have compared it to some of the above. I personally don't think this cigar is comparable to any of the above. This cigar was not as strong as any of the above. I did really enjoy the OWR though. The only reason I can see the comparison to the Padron Anni is because how smooth this cigar is. The OWR does not have the complexity of flavors found in the Padron but it is one seriously smooth cigar. There was a recent thread on "the finish of a cigar" and how NC's don't stand up in the final 3rd like their cuban conterparts. This is one NC that will stand up. Smotth to the finish, razor sharp burn, and an excellent draw. I would say medium body with more of a creamy, cocoa, Chocolate flavor. Just a hint of spice.
I don't know how well this cigar will fair in the class it is in but I would definately recomend trying at least one.

Re: Rp Owr Toro Maduro

I had a natural the other day. I thought it was a fine smoke. $13 here in California. The Padron Annis are actually priced closer to $18 so it is not quite as elite. The OpusX I bought in Cal was over $20.

I really liked this cigar. As you say it was creamy to the end-no burn problems and a sad moment when it comes time to drop it in the stinky. I bought 2 maddies and two naturals so I can try one of each now and then save the others for later-let em age some more.

I need to save up some cash when I get a new job and just go to Serious and pick up two of these, two paddi anni's, and two perdomo esv's.

Thanks for the review!
