Macanudo Maduro Tube Review

My third and final stick for Friday night.

Macanudo Maduro Tube
Hampton Court 5.5 X 42 (Corona)
Wrapper: USA/Conn. (Maduro)
Binder: Mexico
Filler: D.R., Mex.
First impression: a little smaller than I’m used to, but very dark and fairly well made.
Pre light: even with a punch this had a light to medium draw, with a very cocoish flavor.
Light: easy light with moderate smoke, and a coco or cappuccino flavor.
First third: burn was good and the flavor was not bad but quite mild for a Maduro, it remained in the cappuccino flavor category.
Second third: the flavor stayed consistent, with the only change being it was more coffee and less coco.
Last third: I will say that this seamed very one dimensional as the final third still had the coffee flavor that it carried thought.
Conclusion: the burn was good, no relights or lighter corrections. The flavor was very straight forward, one dimensional and very mild for a Maduro. This wasn’t a bad stick, it was good, but for the price I feel that there are better cigars to be had, I would smoke it again, but I probably wouldn’t buy it again any time soon.

Re: Macanudo Maduro Tube

I like the macanudo maduros a lot. If you're talking about the hampton court (i believe that's the name for that size), i have had some of those, and they are very good. pretty mild indeed. they are quite consistant. glad to see you enjoyed it, but i do agree with you on the price. they are pretty expensive, and there are other great cigars out there for that price.
nice review!
