Reo Robusto - helluva cigar........Period (got some burnt fingers to prove it).

Scottie

You hit the nail on the head in two words!

My comments on this fine smoke...
The wrapper is a flawless dark smooth Maduro and the box pressed cigar has an overall very attractive appearance. Prelight aroma had very slight traces of ammonia that were not at all present in the test draws after clipping. First few draws after toasting and lighting left a bitterness when blown out but the remaining aftertaste was far more pleasing. Any and all bitterness left before the first half inch of a black and gray ash which held up well to about an inch and a quarter to an inch and a half. The cigar has some nice rich tobacco mild to full flavor with a vague hint of sweetness. My first a couple of weeks back had a bit of a chemical aftertaste before starting the second half. From the second half, it was all good and smooth smoking to the "finger burnin" end.
I'll buy more of these, could not keep me away.

The first one was yet another gift from Syekick a great BOTL. The second I just finished tonight before dinner.

Re: Short REO Robusto Review

I tried one right off the truck and did not have the same experience. I let it sit in the cooler for a couple of months and now have a second in my rotation box. Can't wait to try it again.

Re: Short REO Robusto Review

After reading these latest reviews, I will have to get back at the ones I have left. They have a lot more time on em now, and are probably even better than they were when I first got them. Thanks for the updates.
Scotty, I hope things are going well.

I recenty had a Chairman that has been sitting for little over a year and it was great! Still very rich, balanced, smooth and just plain good!
