Carlos Torano 1916 Robusto Review

Well I decided to bring a CT Cameroon 1916 to the little herf that Nicholas, Jerry, and Ricky set up. I should have known that I'd be the only one with a domestic there! Anyways, this was gifted by Rockyr. I've had a churchill of this same cigar that had a too-tight draw and no flavour. This robusto was a total 180 from that. Very giving draw with lots of smoke. The flavours were quite nutty from time to time and the smoke was very full and probably the most flavourful Cameroon I've had ever. I continued smokin' away and taking the smoke through my nose- which gave way to a nice bit of spice- and just listening and trying to absorb all of the Habanos information rollin' around the room. It was a nice night, and a surprising cigar. Thanks RockyR.

Re: Carlos Torano 1916 Robusto

I just had a 1916 Robusto today. Great stick, with cedary/woody notes and a smooth rich flavor. Burns beautifully, with no welding needed. I find Torano to be one of the houses with consistently good sticks across their lines. I'm not a cammy man, but I love this one. BTW, the 1959 Exodus Double Corona...if you haven't had it and you like the 1916, I implore you to try it. My favorite Torano.

Nice review.

I've always like Carlos Torano's product, it's always a solid smoke. I've seen a lot of Toranos at my local B&M, but I've yet to pick up too many. Great review!

I haven't really had a Cameroon Wrapped Cigar that I enjoyed before these---well an AF Rothschild was good- but this was really good. Sort of changed my mind on Cameroons.

Re: Carlos Torano 1916 Robusto

I got one of these going right now - and gotta tell you - it's been awhile since I had a Torano and I don't know why.

This one was gifted to me - and damn, can't remember by whom.

This little gem fired up smartly - has burned razor sharp - and given me nothing but a sweet, nutty, creamy smoke for the last half of the Dallas/Panthers game that's still going on. It's going to be a shame when this baby is gone.

I know I have a few boxes of Torano's that I have never opened yet - sure hope one of them is a box of these.

Cool, Ive got one laying around from the NST that I have been meaning to smoke, and this review is indeed a 180 from the past ones. Im going to put this one on the roster for the coming weekend.

Re: Carlos Torano 1916 Robusto

Nice review. I've loved all Cameroon wrapped cigars I've had, and the 1916 was no exception. I think when I run out of Casa Torano's I'm gonna have to pick some of these up.

Not a big cammie fan, but from what I remember, these were good. It is amazing what you can learn while you're sitting around smoking cigars.
