Hi Moki,

I agree, if I could find a good on-line source with the LLG seal of approval it would be greatly appreciated by my wallet!!

I just cannot justify the price they are charging in Toronto.

This is a good source of them:

http://www.famous-smoke.com/cigars/s...fm/st/1/bc/PAM

Unfortunately, they are all out of everything except for the Samplers. Their prices are a little high (I've paid $230 for a box of Exclusivo's, they list them for $259), but certainly better than what you're experiencing now.

They also sell (apparently) the Padrón 1926's, but they are sold out too:

I Like just about any Padron. Last week I tried my first 1964, a maduro principe...yum! Next day I purchased a maduro exclusivo...OMG!!! I have since smoked 4 more of them. Best cigar I have smoked in my (very short) smoking career. Bad thing is that now everything else tastes second rate. I'm definately going to have to get me a box or three!

Yep, that definitely is a danger. You smoke one of the Padrón Anniversary's, and then resign yourself to the fact that your standards -- and your budget -- just went up.

Just wait until you try a 1926 Maduro...

I would love to try a 1926 Maddie but unfortunately (fortunately, maybe?) my local vendors do not stock them. If anyone knows of an online vendor that has any in stock, please post.

<sigh> It's just money. If I didn't spend it on cigars I would just blow it on something stupid like bills, savings, or vacation.

Here's another good source, which *does* have the Padrón 1964's in stock, in a variety of sizes:

The 64 Series Maduro are my Favorite and I have been able to find them fairly easily for about $12.

The 3000 Maduro is still my favorite every day value cigar. IMO it is tough to beat top to bottom for the price.

Re: Padron 3000

Had a 3000 Natural tonight. I've been on a Padron tear recently if you haven't noticed.

This cigar had the typical Padron Nutty, coffee taste to it with a bit more sweetness and a raisin type of finish. Great aroma. Had a very flaky ash that fell off once with only about a 1/4 inch on it... so that was annoying. Burn was also uneven half of the time. For the money, I think the 2000 and Delicias gets my vote. Construction seems to be more solid on those cigars with a tighter construction and even burn.

Re: Padron 3000

Man! I have had several and they were all excellent smokes. I would say, try another one if that one didn't taint your taste buds too bad. Maybe that one was dried out, or dropped in pig $h1t before you got hold of it. Or maybe you are spoiled by ISOMs you lucky dog! Any way, they are pretty good in my book, but if we all liked the same thing, there wouldn't be so many wonderful sticks out there would there?

Mike

Re: Padron 3000

I think your review is accurate.

I think the thousand series Padron will not compare to the ISOM's

We should all have that problem.

Re: Padron 3000

Padron 3000 Natty was the first Padron I smoked, what a great cigar. Very good balance of flavor, decent burn and the price is great. I perfer the natty over the maduro wrapper on this cigar. I normally like other maduro wrapped cigars better than the natural wrapper...strange.

Re: Padron 3000

I am a fan of the 2000...it tastes better then it costs, and i think i get the singles for $2.95 around here...

This is what I started off smoking, and I still keep them around. I like all the sizes that I have had from this line, when I didn't spend a lot of money on cigars, I used to buy boxes of Londres and Delicias. Both are a great deal in my opinion.

I agree with jsabbi, I prefer the natural over the maduro, but in all honesty, I like both variety on their sticks.

Try another one, you may find you like...

Re: Padron 3000

i've yet to try a 26, are they really all that much better than a PAM64? I mean, the PAM64's are just so damn scrumptious I couldn't imagine what a 26 would be like if it was that much better..

I like Padrons. They are the epidomy of a cigar.. I call them a 'Man's Cigar' coincidentally my wife LOVES them.. But I think of them as a good cigar to smoke while fishing with your dad kinda thing.
