Why cigars are great gifts - Perdomo Edicion de Silvio Robusto

Perdomo Edicion de Silvio Robusto

Got this from a friend for Christmas and decided to spark it up tonight.
Construction - Perfect (and I mean PERFECT!). Burnt completely straight w/ no touch ups needed. Perfect draw and a solid white ash that was like concrete - I could have probably kept it on for 3+ inches, but anything longer than an inch annoys me....

Flavor - Personally I would give the flavor a 6 out of 10. Thats not to say its a bad cigar, I just have weird tastes. For example, I hate a lot of cigars that pretty much everyone else loves (ex. I hate all Hemmingways, Ashtons, except for vsgs, etc..).
I would bet most people would love this cigar though - It started off spicy, then cooled down a bit to a med strength, yet full bodied flavor. Honestly it tasted a lot like a good Camacho Diploma - Earthy, hints of spices, but took on a citrus note around the end that reminded me a little of grapefruit (not a bad thing if you like grapefruit!)
All in all I wouldn't pay the 20+ dollars for one of these, but it was a prime example of why cigars are such good gifts - you get to try new stuff that otherwise you would never try.
I've heard mixed reviews on Perdomo stuff in the past, but I have to say this was a "good" cigar. Not my cup of tea, but there is no denying that it was a VERY well crafted and quality smoke that Im sure many will love.
