Fuente Hemmingway Signature Review
6 X 47 Natural wrapper I smoked this cigar as my first stick of the morning, usually my favorite trime. Decided a nice cup of French Roast would go great. The stick was firm, veiny and scant tooth. The cap clipped of smooth. I love the nipple on the end of these and am always amazed how they burn so well when that small little tip is lit. The first 1/4 of the stick had a mild hint of coffee and chocalate. It was a medium bodied smoke and the draw was perfect. It burned even until about half way when it began to run ever so slightly. It did catch up with itself eventually but I would have to take points off for the burn. The ash was a very light color and it clung on for dear life. It remained a nice medium body all the way to the nub. This is one of my favorite smokes. I do like a bit more body, such as the Anejo or Don Carlos, but this is very enjoyable. I would rate it an 89 overall.

Nice review!
I have recently smoked a couple of these sticks as well as the Short Story. A quite enjoyable taste but just too mild for me. I think I kept waiting for the intensity to pick it up a notch as I smoked these but was slightly dissapointed when they didn't. It's got a good taste but I just wish it had more "oomph" to it. I'm very much the newbie to premium cigars...I am starting to find that I enjoy a more full bodied, make yer eyes water, type of smoke. |

Try the Fuente Anejo or Opus X. They have more of the kick your looking for. An easier stick to get with more bite would be the Fuente Don Carlos line. These are nice smokes.

Ahhh, I forgot about the Don Carlos. I smoked a Robusto (I think?) that I enjoyed. I would smoke another for sure.
Thanks for the recommendation of the Fuente Anejo and Opus X. Both have been on my list to try but I don't think many of these make it to my local shops. I have been keeping my eyes open for them though! Thanks! -Craig |

Re: Fuente Hemmingway Signature
I would also recommend the Opus X, apart from their scarcity at retail prices, and outrageous prices otherwise. I would recommend the Opus X Forbidden X. you have to get them in the gift set which runs at about $50, and they aren't the largest cigar, but they are simply an amazing smoke.
