Thumbs up Camacho Coyolar Figarudo Review

The wrapper has a good scent, uniform color, and slight sheen. It's toothy to the touch, but still has a nice feel to it.

Easy, open draw like a lot of pyramid shaped cigars, prelight flavor is warm, earthy tobacco.

Fired it up. The first couple of draws where smooth, with a copious volume of cool smoke and light to medium in flavor and body kind of leathery, then Bam...

This cigar didn't develope slowly into the power house of a cigar I'd read it was... It exploded into extra full, deep, earthy flavor with tons of body and a good measure of leathery spice so fast it shocked me. The body and flavor hit a depth close to where an Ashton VSG Spellbound finishes, before there was a 1/4" of the beautiful, dense, mottled gray ash cling to the burning and of the stick.

The burn wasn't even to start (may have been a bad light), one side got a running start on the other by about a quarter inch. Touched it up once with the lighter, from there on it burned even until it got to my fingers. Was ready to stuff the nub in a pipe, I still may.

Even though this cigar burns cool, it burned blowing it out my nose.

The flavor built as the stick got shorter, in depth, character and intensity.

The aroma is as strong and intense as the flavor.

Distinct strong flavors like unsweetened dark chocolate & espresso hinting of cedar and an earthy almost barnyard aroma. Not like manure, like soil, hay and old wood.

A long rich finish that started off tasting like dark chocolate, then became peppery and finally strong espresso.

This is a strong, Extra full, intensely flavorful cigar with tons of depth, smoke and body.

Unless you regularly smoke full flavored / bodied cigars, I wouldn't suggest trying this one. It might kick your butt.

Great review, Demented! First Rate.

Now, why is it that the really full cigars are so often nicotine monsters?

I'm of the mind... Flavor, strength & body are all related to the amount of nicotine in the leaf.

What do I know,

I had one and loved didnt think it was strong. I love full body cigars. I will say it did taste very nice.

Re: Camacho Coyolar Figarudo

This should give a better idea of strength (nicotine), from my perspective...

Montecristo Platinum line, medium-strong to strong.

Ashton VSG, medium-strong to stronger.

Camacho, Strong to extra strong.
