Punch Manuel Lopez Grand Cru Review
Just thought I'd share with you what I found at my local B&M recently. Bear in mind, the pics were taken with my phone, so you can't see the plume completely covering the gar. However, you'll notice the dark yellow cellophane next to a clear one! I don't know how long they were hidden, but I bought the rest of the box.
Review to be available in exactly 1 hour.........and counting...... Construction: Very nice, not a blemish on the wrapper. A bit veiny, like most punch cigars. Aroma: Smells of earth and leather. Almost reminds me of an opus. Pre-light draw- excellent......I actually had some crunch on my teeth from the crystals on the wrapper (plume) after I bit on the end a bit while typing this. ........to be continued... Be back in awhile!

Re: Punch Manuel Lopez Grand Cru
Wow nice find - i look forward to the review. I once saw some Tatuajes that were covered in plume, but they were 25.00 a stick. I had to pass.

Ok, it's done..... The draw was darn near perfect. Loads of smoke! Taste: What I have come to expect from punch. Earthy, Nutty, and leathery. Except, this one was very smooth and had a creamy taste to it. Last 1/4: This did not become harsh or bitter but had a nice kick to it toward the end with the nutty taste coming through strong. All in all, I'm glad I bought the rest of these. I've had these before, but never with so much age on them. I definitely recommend these if you like punch, but age them for sure. They are about 500 times better. Definitely one for the books. ![]()

ahhh the Maduros are fantastic smokes. A bit overpriced for some vitolas, but to me, they are worth $4-$5 for the Robustos..

Re: Punch Manuel Lopez Grand Cru
weirdest pixelation on the pic there, looks like you ran it through photoshop's mosaic pixelation filter (8 cell size to be precise)! If that came straight from a camera that's the weirdest camera I've ever heard of, do tell the make and model...
This is a great review, much appreciated! I passed on a few boxed of RP vintage's that were exhibiting plume once and regretted it! I doubt they were aged too long (how old is the RP Vintage line anyhow?) but I regretted it nonetheless. I've never had a Grand Cru, I might search out singles to put a bit of time of if possible

Re: Punch Manuel Lopez Grand Cru
I took the pic with my Motorola Razr V3. The light conditions in my office kinda suck for pics, but then again...the camera on the v3 sucks just as well.
