Hemingway Best Seller Review

Been sitting on a load of these for a while; now that the temps are back up to the 70s, thought I'd enjoy one. Partly sunny day, mild breeze, and with it I paired a strong Earl Grey that's a flavorbomb of a tea. If you like Earl Greys, I get mine from Tea Embassy in Austin, this one was the Royal Earl Grey.

Pre-light: nice but thin wrapper, from a box about a year old, maybe more--they're starting to show some nice oils. Cut clean, burned as well as these figurados--SS, BS, Work of Art--ever seem to burn (read: uneven but usually self-correcting), and produced abundant smoke.

Smoking: the Best Seller has a slightly sweet overtone to it that it shares with the Short Story, but because this is a longer, fatter cigar, it's a touch more muted. The flavors were typical Fuente otherwise, not changing much until the last third, when the cigar narrows and becomes stronger. With the Royal Earl Grey, it brings a pleasant bitterness to the mouth right near the end. If the Short Story is a quick punch of flavor, the Best Seller goes a few extra rounds and extends the experience. The other Hemingways are fine smokes and I try to keep them in the humi for friends-in-the-know, but these two are my favs from the line. At under $6 a stick, I feel you can't go wrong with these fresh out of the box or with some age on them.

Great review! Those are some nice sticks. I have a couple Best Sellers I'm sitting on for a while but now you've got me wanting to lite one up!

Excellent review. Thanks!

I love those Best Sellers but then I love all the Hemingways.

Great review. Love that bergamot flavor—I think I can detect it in a pipe tobacco I smoke. No milk with either, thanks!

Re: Hemingway Best Seller

ever since i've decided to find some Hemmingway Fuentes, my B&M is sold out of them. They must go fast, because he's always getting stuff in. Maybe i'll check this weekend. If no hemmingways, then another fuente.

Take a look at Serious Cigars if you're up for ordering some singles or a box. There are tons of great vendors out there with these, but I've had good luck with these folks.

If you can't find them at your local B&M there are some web retaillers that usually have them in stock. Check out:

https://www.lilbrown.com/Premium-Gra...TE-5-PACKS.htm

Hope you find some and enjoy them as much as I do.

Great review. If I wasn't already late for work, I'd fire one up right now.

Re: Hemingway Best Seller

I've had the Short Story and loved it but I haven't tried the Best Seller yet.

Famous-Smoke.com has these now in their 5-pack Frenzy section. Buy 3 5ers @ 26.95 and get the 4th free. 20 of these for ~$80 seems like a steal based on other online pricing I've seen.

Here's the link:
http://www.famous-smoke.com/cigars/include/5packs.cfm

Too bad my cigar budget has already been exceeded on the Devil Site!
