torano tribute 2004 Review

Carlos Torano Tribute 2004 robusto
I store my cigars at 65%.
I initially punched it but after a couple draws I opted to cut it. Took a couple pre-light draws which had a pleasant tobacco flavor. Toasted and lite. This one was the same as past triute 2004's. It had good flavor, draw was firm, never gets very complex. Overall, the 2004 was nice but not incredible. They have pleasant flavors and keep you puffing but nothing that will make you overly excited. The ash stuck like glue and it was a very slow burn. The burn was good and I never had to do a touch up. Relatively smooth but I purged it once. I would recommend it if you want to round off the torano exeperince. If the opportunity comes give it a try but there are better sticks for the money. I was fortunate and was able to get a number of them at very low prices so my value scheme is a little off... would not pay what they go for at a B&M. The 2003's are good as well but I find the 2004's better IMHO.
Incidently, the color of the ash changed from a musty greyish/yellowish to a clean white. I've never seen an ash this white before.

Re: torano tribute 2004

Nice review. I have found the Carlos Torano cigars to be really enjoyable. I was very impressed with the Virtuoso and esp. the 1916 you sent me. Very tasty, thanks!

if you haven't already, get your hands on the exodus (not the exodus silver). the silver is good but the regular exodus is probably my favorite torano

Re: torano tribute 2004

Thanks for this review. Nearly picked one up today, but opted not to as I've been hit-or-miss with Toranos. Haven't tried the regular Exodus, which seems to be generally well-received...man, that "to try" list just never ends.

You got something against white ashes? (say that with your tongue sticking out) Hehehehe.....

Nice review! It's hard to find a Toranos that I won't smoke!
