Rp Loaded's Myster Cigar No. 1
Okay bro, just got finished with this in the nice, cool weather here in Houston. Gonna type out my "notes" that I jotted down verbatim then offer up an "overall" section.
Mystery Cigar Number 1 From Rploaded Pre light- tingle on lips, nice poo smell/taste- easy draw and clipped just fine lit easily First draws- slightly sweet woody taste with some cocoa flavours Smokin' like crazy, blue grey smoke- pretty aromatic 1st 3rd- still very woody- some charred notes as well- a bit harsh through the nose but nice. Reminds me of a Gurkha Expedition so far- woody tobacco taste w/ little else- No harsh or bitter flavours yet. Nearing the end of this third and it is developing more sweetness which is great unlike the Gurkha Expedition Aroma is sweet as well and smoke is white now. Hm. 2nd 3rd- Had to go in for cable guy- let it go out, hopefully it still goes well. Yep, same flavour, thicker smoke- smoke rings made easy- clean tobacco taste- near middle of this third sweetness pops out again- plumes of smoke- don't want to slow down but I must. Getting hot/spicy/harsh which I somewhat enjoy. I'll slow it down more though. Cherry-like sweetness is there. Oof- spicy through the nose. Last third- Cherry flavour remains. Similar to some of the flavours I've experience from a Party Short. Don't kill me here! Very similar in fact. Nice. Just that nice spice/sweet combo. I think this would be great in a little petite corona firecracker format. It'd burn hotter but I like that in a cigar- spicy little "spark plugs". Maybe a rotheschild format. This robusto size gives you 2 basic dimensions: the woody start then hits its stride in the middle and builds from there. Many may like this progression but I think that the first woddy flavour is a bit boring and would rather that section be shorter and move into instant gratification with the spice/sweet flavours. Put it down with an inch and a half left. Oooh. Nice buzz. Overall not from notes: I'd expect to pay between 5-8 bucks for this in a robusto format, but as I said I'd probably prefer this in a smaller format. However many gorillas really dig that woody/clean tobacco taste- it is good but I grow tired of it which is why I didn't really like the Gurkha Expedition that I had because it didn't really progress/develop at all. So other gorillas may rate this smoke even more favorably than I. I also expect that the hot smoke comes from the "farm rolled" way they created this so I didn't knock it for construction issues although it burned pretty well. I know this was made for tasting purposes pretty exclusively. I think with a few different sizes and better construction and a nicer wrapper leaf (cosmetically) this could be a pretty good hit. To get a better idea of the cherries I mentioned read this entire thread- http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showthr...partagas+short Many gorillas re-examined the Party Short and agreed that they tasted the same thing. Hope this review was sufficient and thanks for the opportunity. I really enjoyed the smoke although it got pretty cold outside and my nose started to run I will get to the others in the next couple of weeks ![]()
