Thumbs up Partagas Spanish Rosado San Agustin Review

Hey there fellow gorillas,

I have had many of these cigars over time but I thought I would write a review up in case some of you were thinking about trying these. First I should say that these are one of my regular smokes, I bought my most recent box at Famous for around $85 (25 per box). At $3.30ish a stick, I love em.

These are beautiful cigars. The reddish Honduran wrapper looks awesome behind the cream and red colored band. Firm but not hard, the construction has been great on every one of these I have smoked.

After they are lit, you'll get a nice full flavor of roasted nuts, and a little cocoa. The taste is fairly unique from the filler which a mix of Dominican, Mexican and Honduran long fillers. The flavor is consistant, but full and not overpowering. Medium bodied and produces a lot of white smoke that smells great! The ash is an awesome white color that looks great against the wrapper and band.

To make a long story short, I love these. I especially love the look, feel and aroma. Great flavors too! I suggest if you haven't tried these, to give them a shot, you wont regret it!!!

Construction 9
Appearence 10
Flavor 9
Value 8
Overall 8.9

This review just made me remember that I picked one of these up in a Partagas 3-Pack sampler. From your review the sound pretty good. I may have to dig it out of the humi this evening. It is in there somewhere!

Just won a 5 pack from CBid and I look forward to trying them out. Most Partagas cigars have been excellent and I don't expect these to be any different.

Thanks for the review.

Re: Partagas Spanish Rosado San Agustin

I like these as well- however I must warn anyone looking into buying some or trying some...

It seems that a lot of smokers go into this cigar looking/expecting something sort of full bodied and spicy- it is not. This cigar is definently unique in that it is quite sweet, mild to medium bodied (lots of flavour though in my opinion), and has a great aroma. I've read quite a few reviews where people didn't like them but it seems to be because they were not expecting the cigar to taste like it tastes.

Definently recommended!

Nice review! I keep buying a single (usually Familia) and really love it. Then buy another single just to make sure I liked it as much as I thought! Have to get off my butt and purchase a box of these!
