Old Henry churchhill Review

I had heard about these cigars from a friend so I decided to pick up a five pack for myself......WOW, what a great cigar. From the first draw you could tell that it was very flavorful. The cigar reminded me of the old Camacho dark naturals (before they went mild). THe cigar just got better the more you smoked it. By half way it mellowed out, but still had the spice that I love in my cigars.
I have been trying to find a full bodied spicy cigar ever since Camacho went down hill. I think I have found my new everyday smoke. I also enjoyed and smoked LFD chisels, but they are jsut getting to expensive and too hard to find for an everyday cigar.

Have you tried the Camacho Coyolar?

Re: Old Henry churchhill

The Old Henry is definitely another Pepin winner.

Nice review.

Re: Old Henry churchhill

I smoked a camacho coylar last night. I used to be the biggest corojo fan, but I think their cigars have gone down hill. The colyar started out soooo peppery and I loved it, but by the end it was harsh and rough on the pallette. I was was greatly disappointed. I am going back to the chisel (or old henry).....

Re: Old Henry churchhill

Just bought a box of the coronas today. I've loved everything else from Pepin, so I'm sure these won't disappoint.

Welcome to CS by the way. Have you dropped by the introduction thread?

Enjoy your time here.

Not to make this about the coyolar, but I agree. I lit a rothschild last night; took about 10 hits on it before I tossed it...life's too short to fight with a cheap cigar. I do have some little perfectos which I hope mellow with age...I only recommended it because I've heard others who like strong cigars say they like it.

I've got a few Old Henry's mellowing, waiting for my humi's to stabilize before I touch fire to them.

Re: Old Henry churchhill

I am with you...what happened to Camacho...they just are not what they used to be. THe coylar is a poor attempt at making a powerful cigar. I will smoke another old henry tonight. Thanks
