Oliva Serie G/ A&W root beer Review

I smoked this cigar on the way home from work. THe absolute perfect pairing between a drink and a cigar is the Oliva Serie G and an A&W root beer. Simply amazing. Cigar went from cedar to woody to nutty. Just a great cigar.
Be sure to try it with the root beer.

Root beer? Are you serious?! Well chit, that's something *else* I have to try. But it'll be IBC or Thomas Kemper before A&W

Wow, I'm surprised you get Henry's there. It's a local brand.

Root beer seems to pair well with a nice maduro cigar.

Thanks for the tip- never had an Oliva Serie G. Might have to grab one.

I remember having a drive-up A&W root beer stand in the town I grew up in...they would come to your car and hook a tray on your window...wouldn't that be a cool place to HERF?

The only Serie G that I have had is the tiny perfecto, the only thing bad about it was that it didn't last long enough. I have been meaning to get back to this line. Thanks for the reminder/review!

Re: Oliva Serie G/ A&W root beer

I imagine that root beer could be mighty fine with a cigar.

On a hot summers day I've been known to have a coke with a cigar. Root beer could be even better with its complexity, especially a fine craft brew like Weinhards or Kemper.

Re: Oliva Serie G/ A&W root beer

I smoke Oliva Serie G's regularly, but have never paired them with root beer. Root beer is quite hard to find over here, but I know of one supermarket that sells it, so I'll have to make do with whatever they have. Look forward to pairing them!
