I don't think the draw was as perfect as you said, only because the B+M keeps them at about %70, so next time I'll let it rest for a bit.

I also picked up an RP Edge, I'll smoke that one later this week.
You're right, that's WAY too high for a humi to be kept. I'm not a fan of a higher humidity, but I'm glad you enjoyed it! I had an edge at the herf, too, and it was very good!

I like 'em, too! They are a smoke that needs to rest after your typical 70% B&M, though. Very few cigars smoke well at that RH.

The only exception I can think of off-hand are LA preferidos. I smoked the Cameroon Robusto and it was just right!

These bad boys are a terrific smoke, and damn strong. Definitely a "go to" for me.

Re: LFD Double Ligero Natural Chisel

If anybody is worried about trying them, try going with a Chiselito first. They are much smaller, but still the same smoke.

How do you think they compare to the maduro ones?

Great review. Thanks

You're amongst the many who like the natural chisels (I've only had the Maduros). You've convinced me to try the natural now.

Re: LFD Double Ligero Natural Chisel

I smoked a Natural Chisel tonight. I've had it for close to a year, intimidating me every time I looked at it. At first light I wondered what in the world I was getting into. Such a strong, concentrated tobacco flavor with some pepper and spice mixed in. Pure POW!

I forged on and boy am I glad I did. about 1/3 or 1/2 way through the stick really seemed to mellow out with strong espresso and earthy/leathery flavor. Still peppery and strong as I could still taste/sense/feel the Ligero, but the flavor was really quite enjoyable. A staple in my humi? I don't think so. But if I'm looking for a little more kick, I would reach for one again.

The Diez on the other hand....holy mother! They are kick ass strong!

Loved the review...that and I am a total sucker for all things LFD...anyhow...I myself also prefer the Natural to the Maduro...and that goes for the entirety of that particular line...now if they would only make it in the Oscuro Natural line...hmmm

Started off the day smoking one... its been awhile. This particular one was gifted to me by my brother for my birthday last year so its been resting since November 08. Burn is perfect, draw is perfect. Lots of complex flavors. Just took the band off and dont want it to end.

Nice review. I echo the other posters and say this is always a good smoke when I actually score some.
