Punch Rothschild Review

If I'm not mistaken....I think this was one of my first premium cigars. It was just a couple of weeks into my newly found cigar habit (I started with backwoods....haha). I remember really really liking it. Nice draw, flavour, burn, etc. Later that week I ordered some bolos (punch's super short smoke). Those were awful....every single one was harsh. I have also smoke a rare corojo rothschild and it had what I can only describe to be an odd taste. Just really spicy yet bland...wierd. Anyways, I have another punch of some sort in my humi and I'm lettin it sit for a few months. I want to like punches but they have been leaving a bad taste in my mouth lately.

That is a nice looking, albeit, out of focus smoke. I had my first Punch cigar just tonight and am looking forward to exploring more of the Punch line. The one I had was an After Dinner EMS (colorado maduro). It wasn't a very complex smoke at all, though the flavor was consistent throughout the smoke. It was really an enjoyable smoke. It was just enough to make me want to puff away on it quickly, while it never really got hot or harsh until the last third. I usually smoke slowly, but it just kept "calling" to me - lol. The last inch and a half or so really opened up into a spicy and leathery taste that unfortunately was over too quick. It sort of reminded me of menthol/mint. The after dinner was medium bodied until the end when it really got up and punched me in the head with a nicotine buzz. Never overwhelming though and the strong peppery spice made for a nice finish.

Got one of these waiting in my humi, looking forward to trying it! I've had the Rare Corojo and Maduro Rothschilds, both of which were excellent, so I can't wait to have the natural!

These are great especially for the price. Keep these and the Rare Corojo on hand at all times...

Thank for the review, I have a few Punch cigars I bought when they had the coupon deal going. I have a natural and maduro rothschild that I'm looking forward to smoking after they are well aged.
