Padron 1964 Anniversary Principe Natural Review

I had my first '64 today. It was an ugly morning on the way to school this morning. It was an ugly morning on my way home from school. It was an ugly day when my friend called and said he had been in a wreck but was on his way to pick up his share of my recent box purchases.

It was a beautiful day when he arrived- sun came out and it warmed up. I took a look at his car and saw that his radiator was busted- leaking coolant everywhere- something he missed, ha.

He decided to get it towed- problem was that the truck wouldn't be here for an hour.

Problem solved- pull out some cigars. He decided to go for an RP Vintage 90 from a box split we made a few months back. I opted for the Principe.

This was my first, as I stated earlier. Lit very well and burned straight and true all the way through.

At first I was not very impressed. As I hit the second inch though it started to shine. The finish was great- left a nice, sticky, tangy/sweet taste on my entire tongue. Very smooth smoke- no harshness. No bitter tastes either. Easy through the sinuses. Draw was fine.

I may pick up another one. For 7.50 I think it was a good cigar

Wait until you try some of the larger maduros, Trent, the '64's are some of the best cigars in the world for a reason.

Nice review. I've had a few of the 26's, but I havent gotten the chance for a 64 yet. My B&M's don't stock them for some reason.

The '64 maduro is my all time favorite smoke! I have yet to have a natural, but the '26 nats are amazing, so I can assume the 64's will be great as well. Padron makes killer cigars. I'm glad you found one you like.

Thanks for the review

I've had a Padron Anni. 1964 and 1926, one of each, both in the Principe size.

I hated both of them. I can't begin to explain why, but I hope the larger sizes are nothing like the Principes.

Nice review. I recommend trying out a few of the other 64's. My favorites are the diplomatico and Piramides. I prefer maduro, but the naturals are excellent as well.
