Thanks for the review... I'll admit to not trying helix because I didn't like the band. Maybe there's something in that after all? Also, another thanks for the tips about 5 Vegas Gold. I'll add them to my list...

I will agree with you guys about this being a perfect beginners cigar but I still enjoy them even though I prefer to feel what I am smoking.
The helix 550 IMHO is a great Lunch time smoke. I think its a great mild woody stick.

i remember when i first started smoking, helix sticks were the one's i'd pick up! i thought they were ok, but for some reason, i always got a burnt/smokey taste from them whenever i would light them up.

the blue labels were the ones that i disliked, but the maduro wrapper one's, i found had a better flavor.

Good review..I smoked a ton of Helix,,both the naturals and the maduros,,I can't look one in the face now..I guess i just got sick of them..
