Red face Punch Gran Puro bitter/sweet

Thsi is more story than review but here she goes.. Friday night I went to Oktoberfest hosted by the Gasthaus Bavarian Hunter - An authentic German restaraunt in Stillwater MN.. What a riot! If you like beer and Polka this is the place to go.. Anyway.. Here is where the review comes in. The Punch Gran Puro was Awesome.. I was too busy having a grand ol' time to tell you weather it was nutty or earthy or tasted like dark chocolate.. But let me tell you the draw was perfect and it was just a wonderful smoke.. Now here is where the story comes in.. This is the first time I have smoked a stogie in a large public gathering.. So I light up and one woman that was with our group noted how nice it smelled.. About 30 seconds later a women behind me snarled and asked me to take "that thing" and leave. So I moved a bit over to be polite. I then managed to clear one of the tables where there were about 6 people sitting. At this point I was a little floored.. So then I decided to walk out of the tent and see what else was happening.. I had two gentlemen ask where I got my Puro and asked if I had anymore.. So I guess to cut this short it seemed people were either completly offended or people wanted to know where they could get one?? Most people in our group seemed fine but one woman I could tell was grossed out by it.. I guess I will probibly not try this again.. I will just keep my smoke to the privacy of my Yard or the golf course.. This was one of the best smokes of the summer yet it was tainted by guilt.. Whatdya do??

Tell them to piss off! Especially those people who will sit there and chain smoke one cigarette after another. Man do I hate those people. It's fine for them to continually puff on one cigarette after another, but if you light up a cigar you have to leave. What hypocrites - KISS MY F'N A$$!

Ahhhh, thanks for the chance to vent.

Re: Punch Gran Puro bitter/sweet

Ok when people get really mad at me for smoking a cigar in public. I pull out my picture cell phone and snap a picture of them.

Then I explain that I work for the ACLU and that I was smoking this cigar to demonstrate that it is an American right to smoke in public and that they were in violation of my pursuit of happyness.

I then start to ask their name and address to give to the legal department. By this time they are either running away from me or I am getting into a fight.

Oh well!!! What can you do!!! Most people appologize and run away. I only got inot one fight and it was this little girl (like 21 or 22 years old) that slapped me in the face and called me a pig.

Outstanding! I will have to try that.

When someone tells me that my cigar smoke offends them, I generally just explain to them that thier mere presence offends me. I used to love it when I would be working a party (Im in college, so either at my house or at my team's house) and someone would tell me my cigar is 'stinky'. You are drinking $35 per keg beer and youre complaining about my cigar?? That is almost always grounds for being escorted out of the party.
