Oliva Serie G, Special G Maduro Review

OK, I finally got up the nerve to try a review, y'all take it easy on me!

Oliva Serie G, Special G Maduro
3 3/4" x 48

Setting: In my basement sitting in front of a wood stove.
Beverage: a couple of Natural Lights

Picked this up last night and thought I'd give it a shot. Nice quick little smoke (about 25 min).

For the first few draws the typical cameroon flavor was very evident, then for the remainder of the 'gar the sweet maduro flavors kicked in. It seemed to sweeten up for the middle third with a nice, mild tobacco flavor. Slightly peppery in the last third, but only very slight. Very even burn throughout. The finish left me tasting a kind of coffee/chocolate mix for quite some time afterwards.

The smoke was nice, thick and creamy.

This mild-medium cigar is a good choice for a quick smoke, but I still prefer a Short Story. Good price at $3.00 a stick at my B&M. I'm sure they can be picked up for less than that online.

Hey, I know...but I figure if I drink cheap beer I can smoke better cigars!

nice review!! these are great, quick, inexpensive smokes! wherabouts in GA are you? i have an uncle in newnan that we stay with and go to the Atlanta races with.

I like most any beer. I usually drink domestics with Michelob Light being my beer of choice, then Lone Star, Shiner and Rolling Rock. For imports I like Warstiener and Stella Artois (sp?).

When it comes to spirits I'm a bourbon drinker, but I am learning to appreciate Scotch more and more.

And finally, I like New Zeland wines.

How about you, what are your beverage picks?

Thanks for the review. You mention you like wines. I highly recommend the wines from Chile.
