Thumbs up god of fire by carlito 2005 Review

god of fire by carlito double robusto 2005. another gift from vegas! i've smoked ALOT of cigars looking for the ONE. if not for the $$$ this would be the ONE!!! this is(was) a beauty. the cap had a sweet taste to it. i decided to punch instead of cut. so i punched, toasted and fired. i'm still trying to decipher some of the tastes in cigars and i do not always hit the nail on the head, so bear with me and please feel free to correct and or add anything that might help me out in the future. anyway, within the first inch i tasted a sweet and nutty flavor, then gradually changed to more nutty and maybe a hint of leather, but still had a slight sweet to it. so far a very smooth and good burn, nice draw.at a little over 1/3 it started picking up a bit of spice and the sweetness was waning, cedar came to mind at this point( not sure ),up to now(and throughout) the aroma was very pleasent. still gradually getting spicier. by 1/2 way it was definitley picking up that distinct fuente taste. at 2/3 it got really spicey and full, my mouth was on fire(i intentionally tried to smoke slow and enjoy this cigar) i don't know if it was just that spicey or there was a ton of nicotine, but my top lip was numb and my mouth felt like i had just eaten a spoonful of tabasco sauce or something. i started sweating slightly, but i couldn't put it down. this was hands down the most complex cigar i've ever smoked! i smoked it to a tic over an inch! the tastes were good and for the most part up front, the flavors changed as i smoked and the finish was amazing! my lip was numb for about 10 minutes after i finished. this is a superior smoke IMHO. i have seen these sticks for as low as $22 on some sites, but for my blue collar wallet i'll smoke 'em when they are given to me. i would HIGHLY recommend everyone should try at least one of these!!!! sorry S/BOTL i have pics but i'm just not tech savy enough to figure out how to post 'em.

A great, great cigar. The additional age on that cigar really does it justice.

i think it was jack schwartz.com and cheapercigars.com, both had them for $22 and $25 (5.25x50 and 5.75x52) they had the don carlos and the carlito.

Re: god of fire by carlito 2005

Wow,
Great review. It sounds like this cigar has some spicy power to it.

I have been trying to score one for a while. Ebay actually had a lot of them but they sold way over retail value.

Re: god of fire by carlito 2005

Thanks for the review!!!

I just smoked one of these a few weeks ago and thought it was very good! Burn and construction were great. The flavor of it was very similar to an OpusX to me but with a roasted nut flavor.

As for the price...
