My First Review-Maria Guerrero Belicoso

Here we go, my first review... new box of Maria Guerrero Belicosos. Again, this is my FIRST review. I usually smoke Padron 64's so I was wondering if this could match up right out of the box. I have heard so many good things about these so I bought a box, if I didnt like them, no biggie..that just means more BOMBS for you guys to try.

Out of the box: A medium dark cigar with very nice presentation with a beautiful depiction of Maria Guerrero on the bands. It looks like a cigar that "should" cost $20 a piece.

Unwrapped smell: VERY pleasant, sweet even.

Texture: Very soft wrapper, even though they have only been in my humi for ~20 hours. No real big veins in the wrapper, but not as smooth as padron, but who is?

<I now made a noob error and put it in my coat pocket unwrapped and headed to Starbucks.>

Took it out at Starbucks and DAMNIT the head of it cracked and started to unravel, but me and this chick (Maria Guerrero) had a date
So, I took it out and it did unravel more throughout my smoking but I held down the wrapper. It seems like I had to puff every few 20 seconds to keep her lit...I am assuming that is because my draw was wasted from her unravelling. But I held her together and here's what we got.

First third: Typical tobacco bite, but not bitter at all. I didnt pick up anything spectacular in the first third.

Middle of the stick: VERY creamy, still NO BITTERNESS!
I am now getting Butterscotch flavors. I have no idea in hell where thats coming from but I WILL TAKE IT! Still very creamy, even hints of nuts and Vanilla.

Last third: She broke down on me. She got so loose (from her unwrapping..not "loose" like girls from my high school ) I couldnt keep her together.

Overall: I give her an 8.5 (for now). If I can keep my dumbass from putting her in my coat pocket and dessimating her beautiful wrapper it would have been much more enjoyable. So NEXT time, oh and me and her will have a "next time" I will take more care and give another report. Highly reccomended though, I can see how good this cigar WILL be in a few months in the humi and a more experienced palate.

ENJOY! Stewart

Great review and the reason why I need to purchase some of these value sticks.

Even though I screwed up...they do NOT taste like value sticks. I am used to the taste of Padron 64s and this was still a joy even though I made noob mistake.

I understand and these sticks go for $130 per box, but there are some outrageous deals on these that you are able to get the price down to $2-$3 per stick on a box purchase. If I remember I think KASR and some of the other gorillas have picked up some. By the way I love Padrons! Nice review.

No, KASR is our resident Cigar Tester NOt only that, he has some the most outrageous cigar pics on the site. He needs to teach me how to post a regular size photo too. I have been waiting for him to answer my email I sent him two weeks ago
