Romeo and Juliet Anniversario Review

I had a Romeo and Juliet Anniversario Torpedo at the leaf and bean Yesterday night.

I was sitting there at about 5 pm. I had a nice Columbian blend of Nicolas coffee with cream and sugar. I had a bag full of Chocolate covered espresso beans.

I clipped the the foot off of this nicely shaped torpedo. It was like a 6 x 52 and had a nice dark brown Sumatra wrapper. it had a good smell.

I sparked it and it was so smooth with a really earthy flavor. I know we talked about the flavor of these being comparable to a PAM '64 in a past post. I agreed at the time, but now since I payed more attention to the smoke it was very similar to the PAM '64 but a lot less power.

It was a smooth and mellow cigar with really earthy flavors. the cigar stayed consistent in flavoe until about 3/4 of the way. At that point it became a little peppery but still smooth.

It was a great cigar an I would highly recommend it. It might even be one of my new goto cigars.

Sounds like a cigar I would enjoy! What is the price point on these?

Then I will most definitely be giving it a try. It sounds completely different than the regular RyJ's which always tasted a little grassy to me.

Re: Romeo and Juliet Anniversario

The aniversario and the Reserve Real are much more mature cigars that the Regular and Maduro lines.....

The Standard Romeo and Juliet are like the Altadis answer to Macanudo. They seem similar to me. But the Ani and the RR are a very mature and well balanced cigar. For a more mature pallet.

Re: Romeo and Juliet Anniversario

I enjoy the Aniversario more than the Reserva Real. The Peruvian filler seems to add a little more complexity to the profile of the Aniv. I consider the Reserva Real a solid "mild". The Aniversario is mild to medium and a tastier cigar in my book.
