My first Perdomo Review
I was curious of this big maduro looking cigar, which was gifted to me by a very generous BOTL, and lit it up and started to smoke it. On the band it said "La Tradition" and "Cabinett Series". The band was BTW red. OK, so I started to smoke it... I was warned that it could be on the mild side and so it was... Mild-medium I should say with the strenght increasing the more I smoked it. Not much flavour in the begin of the cigar but soon I sensed some woody, earthy flavours with some hints of somekind of onion... The cigar was big, I think it was almost a Double Corona, so it took some time to smoke it... About 1 hour and 25 minutes I think... The flavour on this cigar, as most of the NC´s, wasnt very complex. A bit one-dimensional... I didnt like it very much I think, though the draw and the burn was perfect and the construction was good too... I expected more from this my first Perdomo, but it wasnt really disapponting. I just thought that the nicaraguan tobacco was stronger, more flavourful... but I was wrong...
OK... I think the worst thing about it was that it was so large, it took so long to smoke it... 3.2-3.3 out of 5.0 5= Excellent 4= Very good 3= Good 2= Poor 1= Bad 0= Rotten. Bloody awful.

Re: My first Perdomo
These cigars used to be among my favorite Domestics but have fallen a bit out of favor (I still smoke & enjoy them though) since I started with more ISOM's.
I always like the Maduro more than the rosado wrapper ones.

Re: My first Perdomo
i, too, have liked perdomo's. the problem a lot of people have is smoking them when they're young. they seem to be shipped too wet to the brick and mortar shops and you have to let the dry out a bit.

Re: My first Perdomo
I love Perdomo Cigars. The La Tradition Cabinet Maduro is among the milder of the Perdomo's. I would suggest the Estate Selection or the Cuban Parejo.
Also Give a smaller size a try. The Cuban Cafe and the Camaroon Wrapper are a little stronger that the maduro. I would also give them a try. It take a few trys but perdomo grows on you. Also IHT is right they ship a little on the wet side. Let them sit in your humi for a while before you smoke them.
