AVO Piramides - with age Review

I've had an AVO Piramide Tubo aging in my humi for about a year now. I mostly bought it because I knew after my moocher buddies spotted it in my collection, they probably wouldn't want any more of my sticks. Here's my attempt at a review.

Price - $9.10 (1 year ago just after release)

Appearance - beautiful looking cigar. If appearance determined price, this could easily be a $25 stick.

Light up - No problems at all lighting up.

Draw - Smoooooth draw all the way to the nub. Good amount of smoke.

Flavor - Seemed like a mild, maybe medium bodied smoke. Not a whole lot of flavor, I guess it was earthy. Pleasant nutty aftertaste.

Overall Impression - Not a bad cigar, but just not my taste. Definitely not worth the cost. I'd say it's a $3 stick packaged in a $6 tube.

Thumbs down Re: AVO Piramides - with age

I had my first and last AVO this week. I quit halfway.

If it happened to be an AVO classic (no other name on the line), try an AVO Domaine - my favorite and much much better.

Thanks for the reveiw, I had an AVO XO tubo, that's the last AVO I ever smoked since. I'm afraid to buy and try another.

Yeah I have to say the one I had in a beige tube wasn't worth the money IMO.

Hey hey, don't quit on the Avo, until you try the Domaine line. Like Mmblz said, they are better (spicier and fuller bodied). The XO line is also not bad.

If you can find Avo LE 05, definitely buy them. They are the best Avo I've tried so far.

I agree. Both the Domaine and better yet the LE 05 are great cigars. The LE 05 is probably next to impossible to come by now but they will be coming out with the LE 07 soon.
