Well, it seems TNT Cigars has a history of using other company and product names to promote their own stuff. I guess we all need to make our own judgement on whether or not we shop there.

Check it out TNT has a new sheriff in town... and his name is Quen

Some say that Quen will be offering deals-O-plenty to his CS friends.

Re: TNT Alt. to Padron Ann. Maduro Toro

Thanks for the review.

I got a 5 pack of these last week and smoked one on Saturday. I think they may need a little rest in the humi before they get used. The one I had wasn't bad at all, even burn, full strength, but not much change in the taste throughout. From the first draw to the last it was earthy with a coffee/cocoa taste. The construction was solid and the burn was fairly even.

We'll see how well they age. I also have got a 5 pack of the Padron 3000 maduros resting now and we'll see how well they compare.

oh please, why don't you go complain to JR Cigar and lots of other retailers who uses Gurkha, Padron, Ashton, Partagas, and just about every other manufacturer name to sell their "alternatives"

if you're going to throw TNT under the bus at least do a little research and be fair about it. besides, if this was a real issue, these companies would have taken some sort of action a long time ago.

Re: TNT Alt. to Padron Ann. Maduro Toro

I hope this doesn't constitute thread jacking (and I don't think I've tried any of the cigars mentioned so far), but what does it matter if they sell it as an alternative to an established cigar? It isn't like they are trying to come off as associated with Padron or otherwise infringe on the copyright. For example, Equate compares its products to others (for the shampoo, it says "compare active ingredient to Head and Shoulders"). I'm just curious as to why this would be considered shady or a bad business practice? To me, its basically a short form of, "If you like the Padron XYZ, you'll love this!" So long as it isn't false advertisement (you know, it actually does somehow resemble the cigar it is compared to), it doesn't seem objectionable to me.

I don't mean to start an argument, I'm just curious why some of the detractors feel as they do.

Chill dude........

LMFAO though....JR even has the gal to put the Limitada band like the Habanos to sell his House sticks...whatever. Everyone is knocking off everyone in this world. All is fair in life, love war and buisness.I do allot of buisnes with JR so I guess that gives me the right to bitch, I have an order on the way now.

Anyway good review.

I haven't tried the Padron *Alternative* yet but the other TNT's I've tried have been fine smokes that tasted nothing like what they're suppose to taste like.

I haven't found anything else that tastes quite like a Padron. Also, the Padron family surely has more money then they know waht to do with and they hardly strike me as greedy. They should be flatered that TNT is selling an *Alternative* to their masterpieces.
