Tinder Box® Punch Prensada No.2 Maduro Review

So, I was kind of tired last night, but I wanted to enjoy a cigar before bedtime, but I didn’t want to spend 2hours that could be better used sleeping doing so. That’s when I remembered that I had some samplers that I got from the Tinder Box a wile back, and I opened the little box of the Punch Maduros labeled for Tinder Box, and I saw this little joule.

It’s a 5.5X43 corona sized cigar, with a rustic looking wrapper, that is dark, but more like a dark natural. It is double banded, one under the other, the Punch band on top of what appears to be an Import label.

After cutting it with the Palio, just skimming the cap, the pre light draw was almost perfect, not too tight, and not too loose. And I got a mellow tobacco flavor.

I lit it with my el-cheep-o torch, and it almost immediately started to burn razor straight, I was quite impressed.

My distinction on flavors is lousy lately, so I won’t even try to describe any flavors, but it was a very pleasant smoke. It was smooth, not real spicy, but not bland, and I nubed it to about 1/2inch and it never got hot or harsh or bitter.

I was browsing today and noticed that they go for around$60 a box, so I could really see a box of these finding there way in to my cooler. I will finish the rest of the sampler first, but I defiantly give these the thumbs up for a $3 cigar.

Never tried that one but I'll have to find some. Sounds like the perfect size for my M-F smoke, and I am a fan of Punch. My weekday smoke is Punch Pita lately. But a maduro sounds like a nice change.
