JdN Antanos Review

Got a box of these from Cigarmonster on the 27th I believe. They arrived on Monday (later than usual due to the weekend). I let them sit in the coolerdor for a day and I couldn't resist any longer. Took one of these beauties out of it's little red ribbon and but all it's brothers and sisters back to rest. Clipped the head and took a prelight draw. AMAZING. It tasted like I had just bitten in to a chocolate bar with caramel in the center. I did this for about 10 minutes in amazement . Light time came and pulled out the Zippo just to try something new. Toasted the foot and off we go. The first 1/3 had a very earthy taste. It was also very spicy and every snork was pretty painful but it tasted so good. Flavors developed into a slight hint of peanuts and almost sort of a tree bark. You know the smell of a tree close up, not a cedar taste, straight tree bark (call me crazy). It was different but I can't say I hated it. The second 1/3 gave off more of a coffee/chocolate taste and I was loving every second of it. The cigar started to tunnel at this point but I kept going. I made it to the the last 1/3 but the cigar had begun to tunnel very badly and I was tired of trying to correct the burn. I will let these sit for a while longer before attempting another one but all in all this was a great smoke after a LONG first day back to work.

Great review!!! I love JdN. The Celebracion is excellent as well. These will definitely get better with age.

Re: JdN Antanos

One of the best NC's out there IMHO. Let them sit for at least 3 months and they get even better.

I love the Antono line, what size was yours that you smoked. The machitos and beli's are my favorite.

Re: JdN Antanos

I like to store these on the low end by the way. I think the flavor is better when drier. around the 65 mark.

Nice,
you aren't wasting any time. I got a box of Machitos and I think it had what... 50? With numbers like that it's easy to go a little nuts.

YES YES YES, much better after a few months - a totally different cigar. If you liked it now just wait. Man I love these cigars.
