LFD vs A Bundled Smoke Review

So today I fired up my very first LFD (an L250 robusto)...I have to admit it was somewhat of a let down. Though it burned nicely, the draw was very tight and the flavor was a little soapy and it's strength was much less than what I expected (maybe because of the draw).

I had been dry-boxing this for the last couple of days with a bundled cigar my B&M gave me- a Maestro Cubano.

After the LFD, I was left unsatisfied and lit up the Maestro, a cigar I have never heard of and can not find any info about online. The Maestro was great! It wasn't very complex but had nice tobacco flavor, earthy and leathery. It's draw was smooth and perfect and it bellowed out lots of smoke.

I guess I evened everything out - The cigar I was looking foward to let me down and the cigar I expected to be OK at best was great!

I do plan on picking up another LFD and giving it a second try though. The reviews I've read on these are so much different than my experience that I'm sure I just got a bad one.

Anybody else had the Maestro Cubano before???
