Carlos Torano Virtuoso Review

I am new to the posting thread thing here actually this is my first. I saw a really good thread posted by Kylehammond

http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showthr...orano+virtuoso

Being that my review is a year later I thought it better to post a new thread. I suppose some of the elder gorillas will let me know if I am right. The Virtuoso has become one of my favorite smokes. It is very flavorful from start to finish. The cigar in this review is a 4.7" x 52. I purchased a 5 pack on an online auction. They sat in the humidor for two weeks with no plastic around them before I lit up. I smoked it after a hearty burger and had water to drink during the smoke.
What I love about this cigar is it's creamy nature. When you first start smoking it you think it is going to be very spicy and you make sure your water glass is full. Once the smoke gets through the cigar it really opens up. You get clear hints of chocolate that stay with this cigar all the way to the nub. Yet it still keeps a bit of that spice from the begining. The ash on this length lasted all the way to the end it didn't even fall it still took a good tap on my part before it fell. As Kylehammond noted in his review my burn was somewhat one sided as well but not enough that worried me. I am always extremely satisfied with this cigar and am afraid I am gonna burn my finger cause I don't want to put it down. It will leave you smacking your chops for a while afterwards thinking "Man that's a good cigar"

Re: Carlos Torano Virtuoso

I smoked one of these less than an hour ago. This is an excellent cigar and went pretty much how it was reviewed here. I sure didnt want to put mine down and had to flick the crap out of it to get that nice ash off. It seemed to burn pretty darn even for me, but maybe i was lucky.

Excellent review!!

Re: Carlos Torano Virtuoso

I smoked one that size a couple weeks ago. It had been in my humi for about 4 months. It was absolutely plugged. I got about 1/2 an inch into it till I gave up. I was really surprised, since Torano has a great track record of well-drawing cigars. I still have a Virtuoso churchill that Ive had even longer. I may give that one a try soon.

Re: Carlos Torano Virtuoso

This is a very nice cigar. I picked one up before Christmas and loved it. I wasn't expecting much because I find Toranos in general to be a little to mild for me. But this one was definitely the best of their lines.

You can usually find them on Cbid for significantly less than MSRP. I don't think they've caught on... yet.

I've got one of these resting in the humi, I might just have to fire it up soon to see what the fuss is all about .
