Bahia Trinidad #2 Review

I had this yesterday eveing while doing some yard work; I should have saved it for after the work was done.
This was gifted to me by a buddy of mine, sent by way of a co-worker.
I hadn't had one of these ever, and wasn't expecting too much. My snobbery took the fore and I was shamed by this cigar.
It was a belicoso and well made witha thick ring guage. The pre-light draw had a kind of musty smell to it, which added to my onderestimation of it. Once lit though, the draw was very nice and gave lots of smoke. It was smooth throughout the first third but had a pleasing taste of tobacco, and wood. The second third showed some changes as it opened up to reveal spice and subtle sweetness in the background. Near the end of the second third I definitely detected unmistakable Niacaraguan twang, finished off by what became ever present sweet undertones. Very good smoke which became better as it burned into the final third. I was becoming distracted by this cigar as I was trying to get the yard work done. I wound up nubbing the thing and wondered how I can get some more.
I equate some of the tastes of this Bahia Trinidad to several of the Pepin Garcia smokes I like so much, but less intense. These are very good solid smokes and at a good price. If I were a golfer, I could see these being in my golf bag.

I haven't heard of these but a good golf cigar...similar to a Pepin smoke...sounds good to me!

Awesome, I've been hearing about Bahia for awhile. I wasn't too sure about the quality. I might pick some up next time I order from Famous. Thanks!!!
