Cigar: Arturo Fuente Hemingway - Untold Story Maduro

Size: 7.5 x 53, Perfecto
Origin: Dominican Republic
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican
Wrapper: Maduro
Construction: Near Perfect
Price: N/A as it was gifted by Jechelman
Drink: Diet Sierra Mist
Place smoked: In the mountains of East Tennessee (home) 80 degrees and sunny
Cut: Palio
Light: very easy and GREAT aroma
Burn: consistently a touch uneven but not an issue
Ash: White/Light gray, held together nicely to almost 1.5 inches each time I ashed
Draw: very good but a tad tight
Finish: creamy, cocoa and caramel with a touch of spice
Flavor: Medium
Strength: Medium
Performance: Starts out with an almost cinnamon/cedar spice and then settles into a great luxurios creamy caramel and cocoa flavor. It never got hot or harsh. An all around great cigar and possibly in my top 5 all time NCs.
Smoking Time: 1 hr, 45 min

Comments: I have been smoking some of my bigger cigars lately and this one was indeed a treat. Jechelman (frank) sent me this cigar last December and I am grateful as I probably would not have picked a cigar this big to purchase for myself. This cigar gives even the vaunted Anejo a run for it's money on flavor alone. It was definitely a great smoke and very flavorful for a medium-bodied cigar. t was almost a mini-vacation. This cigar would be perfect on the beach mid-day with a couple of Coronas or Pina Coladas or better yet, Mojitos. These are only available around Christmas and Father's day but I highly recommend stocking up.

A definite 9.2 on my scale.

Great review. I've only had the Short Story and I absolutely love(d) it! I have been wanting to try other Hemingway cigars but haven't gotten around to saving money to buy any, yet

That's the one I have not tried yet...hard to find. Leave it to Frank to have one hidden away in his stash.

BTW fired up a Padilla Miami 8/11 Salomon the other night, always a treat. Was telling Frank that's got to be my "going before the firing squad" final smoke since it will most certainly provide me with a couple of extra hours on this earth.

Damn..I jsut sold all mine..You know i never even smoked one...Had a half box for 3 yrs and never got around to trying one..Now you make me feel like I made a huge mistake..Nice review scottie..
