Pic Review of Bahia Maduro

[SIZE=3]Part of the wrapper flicked off when I cut the cigar. Checked the rest of the wrapper and it was pliable. Must have been a defect. The problem became more pronounced toward the end. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=3]Burn was slightly uneven. A slight touch up corrected the problem and it burnt fairly even from start to finish. Very good smoke volume and nice draw. The ash is very white.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=3]Advertised as a full bodied cigar. It starts off with a peppery flavor then smooths out. It is more medium body compared to JdN, Camacho, SLR, La Gloria Cubana, etc. The flavor is earthy with a very pleasant creamy finish. The taste is different from other maduros due to the lack of sweetness usually attributed to this wrapper. The strength approached full[/SIZE]

Over all this was an average cigar. Would have to smoke one again to make a final opinion. Most of the reviews I had seen on these were from 2002 and were outstanding. The issues with the wrapper were disappointing, I will have to see if any of the other cigars in the sampler have the same problem.

Wow, that's pretty disappointing that you had so many problems with the wrapper. Hopefully it would just be an isolated case that comes with a hand made product
