La Vieja Habana- Cedar Chateau No. 1 Review

I revisited an old friend over the weekend, and I must say that it was even better than I remembered.

On Saturday I decided to do some yard work, and wile I was riding on the mower, I had a few smokes to pass the time. I started out with an Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Toro Maduro that I got a bout 8 months ago, and had kind of lost interest in, this one was good, not great, but more than I was expecting, this is why I chose it for my first actual yard gar. Then after that was finished and I still had half of the yard left, I figured this was the easy part of the yard, so I might as well have a little better stick, so I can enjoy a bit of the day, and I chose the LVH #1 because it was just sitting there in a pile of its friends saying pick me, and I’m glad I did.

Because of the setting, riding mower with a slight breeze and not being able to have a free hand I chose a punch for this one, usually I use the Palio. From the light this one burnet straight even with the breeze, and it continued to do so till the end.

The flavor was even better than I remember; this was from the boxes I bought as the new versions were coming out, and so it has been sitting for a wile. It was a nice mellow smoke with no bitterness. I can’t describe the flavors too much because; well I was mowing the yard after all. But it was very nice, now I wish I had bought several more of these when they were available.

I will be picking up a few boxes of the new run of the LVH series; can anyone suggest which of the new ones are closest to this series? I was thinking it was the Corojo line, but I wasn’t sure. I also want to try the Early Years Festibal de Moroc, and the Silencio.
