Licenciados Wavell Review

Introduction
This Licenciados Wavell has been sitting in the humi since June. Haven’t smoked one since July and thought it was time to try one with a little age on it compared to the 15 I smoked in June.

Pre-Light Ruminations
These are very blonde. Connecticut shade, with all Dominican filler. A 5 x 50 sized stick it has rested peacefully until its death earlier today. Smelled like a blonde too fragrant but nice.

Initial Thoughts
Lit great. Toasted for about 5 seconds and Baam she was perfect. From the first puff I knew this cigar had improved greatly in the past 6 months. The fresh ones tasted fresh. Nice flavor profile but fresh. This had a cubanesque flavor that was real nice. Mild but rich and full taste. I had this with my usual driving beverage diet mountain dew. The guy at Costco was nice enough to watch it while I did some office shopping about half way thru.

Smoking Experience
This cigar did not change much until the end. Nice was the thought that kept rolling through my mind. Kept comparing it to the San Cris that I got from the mad bomber. Not in the same league. But I gotta tell you there were moments where I had to look at the stick to remind myself this only cost $ 2.00. The ash was perfect. The burn was perfect. The smoke was very nice. The tongue twang was there. The nose was still a little sharp but had some real depth to it. I think with a year on these they could become a spectacular value cigar. Got a little more spice towards the end. Nice not too heavy, added to the experience.

Final Thoughts
This is a real nice mild to medium bodied cigar. Never got that blah taste that happens with so many mild cigars. I enjoyed the heck out of it. If you want a real interesting inexpensive cigar give it a try. Just don’t gripe if you smoke them fresh. This one really changed a lot with some rest.

Thanks Mike. But really I just smokem, write about them and then plod on through a testosterone and nicotine induced haze. I figure there must be at least 50 cigars in my humi that havn't been reviewed here so I'm going to keep on writing these even if no one reads them.
