Arturo Fuente Robusto Review

The night was cold and frosty with large snow flakes comming down. The kind of snow that I a child you would look out at and see the light of the city reflecting of of them. The wind was calm and it was a beautiful winters night. I sparked up the baseboard heaters on my back deck and decided to go out and have myself a nice little winters eve smoke.

I grabed an Arturo Fuente Robusto Maduro. It was a nice little dark guy. It had a prelight aroma that wa pure tobacco. I clipped the end with my Trusty Xikar Xi2. The pre light draw was so easy it wa like there was nothing there. I toasted this little guy with my Colibri Tri flame. The Smoke wow it was beyof belief. There was a lot of smoke. I like sitting ther puffing away on this guy. Ther wasn't much flavor. I couldn't really taste any flavors other that pure tobacco. Maybe a little hint of Nuttyness or maybe some chocolate. But that was very understated.

It was a mild cigar on a cold night siting outside with no coat. The heaters did a good job of keeping me warm however. This was one of those sureal experiences. I just knew as I was sitting there that this was a special night and I had captured what life was truely meant to be.

Great review Kami...

I've always been happy with the consistency of the Fuente line. Sounds like you had a psuedo-religious experience. Good for you!

I've noticed in many of your cigar reviews you refer to cigars as "little guys" and "guys"... do you.. talk to your cigars?

I try to avoid eye contact or anything that will lead to emotional attachment since I know that I am about to burn the little guy alive and suck his gut smoke.

Re: Arturo Fuente Robusto

I wouldn't be surprised if some out there have an altar they lay there cigars on and do some chant before smoking (I mean sacrificing) it up to the cigar guides.

Anyway that's what I do

Oh Yeah, nice review Kguy There are times when everything just seems to be in balance and nature can put on a show. It sounds like you were lucky enough to be there and enjoy a cigar.

My most favorite cigar moments involved a nice fire and either snow falling or starfilled sky or occassionaly a large moon rise. In Alaska I was lucky enough to enjoy a cigar during an Aurora show that was unbelievable.

Ah memories-----

Why yes... why do you ask? Sometimes it's the most intelligent conversation I have that day!

Nice review, Kamikaiguy. Like music, sometimes we need a pause. Just stopping the insanity and enjoy being alive. Glad you got a chance to do this under such austere circumstances.

Great review Big K, I can't wait until its warms up here in P-Town so I can set on my Porch and enjoy a great big gar.

Eef, you know if you talk to them in a soft loving voice, they will grow into more little gars, before you know it you'll need a larger Humidor
