Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Corona Review

I've never been a big fan of Indian Tabac and I've stated this before here in other threads. Up until a few weeks ago it had been years since I paid them any atention at all. But, after trying the Super Fuerte line and enjoying the Hell out of them, I decided to try this line as well and bought a fiver from Cigarbid (my usual supplier of most of my non Habanos (can't beat those prices anywhere)).

Not a bad looking smaller smoke, slightly oily wrapper, good pre-light aroma and draw. Cut cleanly and easily (used a punch since it is a smaller gauge cigar). They have a nice little bite to them right from the start, some sweetness and coffee flavors as you smoke through, and a pretty fair finish and after taste. They're billed as Med/Full bodied, but IMO they lean toward Medium. A good value at around $2 per stick delivered to my door.

I'm still not crazy about IT's regular line, but the Super Fuerte, Cameroon Legend, and some of the lines marketed under the Patel name have given me a new respect for this brand. I've gone from years of ignoring them to having a hundred or so different sizes and types sitting in the humidor. They've become a goto for me overnight and I tend to reach for one when I can't decide what I want to smoke. I recently (yesterday) got a bundle of IT Super Fuerte Maduro PC's and smoked four of them the first day!

Re: Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Corona

I am with you on the Cameroon Legends and Super Fuertes. Wierd thing as much of a Maduro whore I tend to be, I can't stand this cigar in the Maduro version however I really like it with the cameroon wrapper.

I guess its kind of stupid to begin with buying a cigar called Cameroon legend with a maduro wrapper!

Good review, thanks!

Re: Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Corona

I've always wanted to try a Cammie maduro. I know it would be expensive & maybe the leaf would be too delicate to go through the ageing & fermentation process, but it sure appeals to me.
Isn't Cameroon wrapper Sumatra seed grown in West Africa? I know there is Sumatra seed maduro.
Has anyone tried this & I just am not aware of it?

BTW, I like the IT Cammies & Super Fuertes also.

Re: Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Corona

[SIZE="3"]I burnt one of those Cameroon Legends last night. A robusto. Nice dark brown wrapper, deep in color and smell. Took a pint, umm make that a few pints, of German lager outside and called a buddy over in Va. I was impressed. Wasn't expecting too much based on previous smokes of IT, but thought I'd put this one down.

A nice smoke. I really can't say what tasted like what since I was in some conversation as well, but it was darn good. I'll be looking for a couple on CBID in the near future.

Thanks for the review! I've been "living off these" (Robusto size I think) for a year +; this is one of my regular smokes.

CI ran a special, I think a year or two ago; $30 for a box of these babies. I bought three boxes and am half way on the third one. These are consistantly good and get REALLY good with age!

I picked up a box of the Cameroon Legend Robusto Grande's and the Super Fuente Petit Beli's. I agree they are both good smokes and you can't beat the price. Thanks for the review I haven't smoked a Cameroon in a month or so I need to grab one.

Re: Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Corona

In addition to Super Fuerte and Cameroon Legend, I like Fire by Indian Tabac as well--it comes with a very unique taste except the draw can be a little too tight.

Stay FAR away from the Anniversary lines.

I agree 100%. The draw issues get better with age. Got a bundle of Fires that have been aging for over a year now and they're starting to get unbelievable!
