Zino Platinum Scepter Series Grand Master Review

One year ago I asked my B&M rep what cigar he would age for a year. He gave this baby to me. Tonight, I had a light dinner and wanted a smoke, so I grabbed it.

This has spent a year in a Diamond Crown Humidor and the wrapper was in a sort of pre-plume phase were there was some powder starting to form, but nothing substantial.

Pre-light draw; a bit cedery and loose. Was afraid the draw would be hot.

De Cigar; Wow. It lit evenly and burned the same. I can only describe the smoke as more in the mouth and less in the throat. I guess that is what mild/smooth is. This was very tasty though. Ceder was everywhere and slight coconut? I loved it. An abundance of smoke and it burned cool. It was balanced in that the flavor remained in the front of the mouth. Not dry at all. Tasted the same almost all the way through. No touch ups, no re-lights.

I need more of these. This was one of my favs so far. If you love the smell of a humidor, like I do, this has a lot of that. Creamy, smooth and Cedery. Way to go Zino.

9.8/10

I agree with your review.
I think these are heck of a smoke and enjoy them.
If they were cheaper they would be even better.

From what I've read, we are in the minority, They seem to get more bad reviews. The price is a little unfortunate

Thanks for the review, I am hoping that mine age well too. The Grand Master is a lunker of a cigar, thats for sure!

They can be found at significantly discounted prices if you look around.

The Platinum Crown series is another story, those are 30-40 USD per cigar!
