Peterson Gran Reservo Belicoso Review

I tried one of these tonight based on a recommendation from my local store. He said that Cigar Aficianado had rated this newer line with 90s and said it was a good medium bodied smoke.

The cigar was nice enough to look at and had an easy pre-light draw. It started out with less flavor than I would have expected, but I figured it might liven up as it burned. It didn't. About 1/4 of the way in the wrapper started to unravel, though it burned even with no corrections needed. I smoked it right down to the nub, and only in the last inch did I start to get a hint of the sweet flavor that it advertises.

I paid better than 6 bucks for it, and was pretty disappointed in the lack of character that it had. Has anyone else tried these, and did you have a better experience than I did? Maybe it would be worth a second chance if someone has, but at this point I don't see me buying any more...just my newbie humble opinion. I would love any insight any of you have, whether you agree or disagree with mine.....hog.

I bought a box never smoking anything from Peterson before. My impression of the cigar is and maybe I weird, a VSG lite. a decent smoke I had no troubles with. I also bought some Fuente Cuban Belicoso SG and those sucked this time

Nice review. I smoked a Peterson at an insurance company luncheon a month ago. The company rep was giving them out . The cigar was good and the burn was ok but the cigar was a little Blah. Just not for me.
