La Flor Dominicana - Double Ligero Cameroon Lancero Review

Been smoking this cigar for a year or two and it is great. A real powerhouse and something different from the Habanos. One of the few NC's that I smoke.

I decided to revisit this cigar tonight. After having a cold for about a week I'm at Starbucks with a hot cup. I may not be ready for a cigar yet, but I really want one.

This example is out of box 100 of 100. Looks and smells fantastic, with a few waterspots on the wrapper. Smells of rich tobacco with a hint of sweet and cinammon spice.

Bit the cap off tested the draw, spot on. Toasted the foot and the first draw produces a great mouthful of rich and delicate tobacco smoke with a hefty dose of pepper on the nose. (I just drooled on myself)

One of the easist drawing lanceros that I recall, great plumes of heavy smoke are easy to pull predominately filled with pepper spice that is not over powering, laced with sweet and salty in the first inch.

A mild nicotine buzz is settling letting everything I may have preoccupied with melt away. This is the therapeutical quality of a cigar I really enjoy.

I'm picking up hints of gingerbread and candy cane mint that makes me think of the up coming holidays. The mint may be attributable to a clean and pure tobacco burning sensation. I haven't been able to determine what creates this quality I've noticed in a few cigars.

The rich nutty flavors I associate with cameroon wrappers mixed with a body that reminds me of nicely flame broiled medium rare steak is starting to shine through at the half way point.

No change down to the last inch. This cigar didn't deliver as much as I remembered, but that may have to do with my lingering cold. The nicotine is settling in pretty hard now, probably won't be on this cigar too much longer.
