Poppin my review cherry! :) Ashton VSG Corona Gorda

So this is my first review so bare with me. Figured I would add pics so my lack of real cigar review experience would be some what pleasing (pics always help lol) Would like to thank RockyR for this awesome smoke he sent me in the NST,really appreciate it! anyways on to my attempt....

Pre-Fiery Death-

Had a real easy light, started off with a real even burn that would keep true through out the smoke. Nice easy draw. At light first tastes were of earthyish and woody tastes. With a hint of leathery and spice. Now I am still working on the palette, but to myself that is what I could taste.Ash was a nice light gray.

After an inch or so into the smoke the leathery and spicy taste started taking over. Noticed that drip in the back of the throat.Really picked up on flavor, could still taste a woody earthy taste to it,but the spice def. was becoming the more powerful flavoring.First ash dropped a short while after pic below.

Mid way between 3/4 and the half way point the cigar really mellowed out, still taste great flavors but it is not as strong and overpowering as before. Drip gets stronger, and I notice a tingle in on my lips and mouth. As strong as it was,it was very smooth smoke at this point.Almost taste a bit sweet at certain times.Spice seemed to give way to the leathery earthy taste.

Towards the end the spice really kicks in,but not in a bad way,if that makes since. Sometimes cigars can overpower my palette with spice taste, but this was a good one. Rich in flavor but still could taste hints of other things, was a distinct taste I cant really word, not sure what it was but,it was almost like a sweet cedarish taste, perhaps from the humidor? It seemed to get easier to smoke the more I smoked it,really was enjoying it. Lips were tingling alot at this point.

Smoke lasted me about an 1 hour give or take, really was a great smoke, first Ashton for me.Will def. not be my last! Last pic is its RIP pic so to speak lol.

Smoked another one of these on the beach this past Saturday.

The VSG in this vitola is one of my very favorite NCs.

Thanks for sharing.

Great review bro and nice pics, I love the VSG's, I'm in the Tres Mystique range, perfect little smoke with that big vsg experience.
I've never tried any of the bigger sizes, I might have to try one soon.
