La Flora De Maria Mancini Review

A B&M daily smoke suggestion. At $3.75 (NYS 35% tax on wholesale for retailers) for a rothschild I wasn't expecting much from this cigar. The messed it up a bit by not puching hard on the desktop cutter, never used one before. However, the construct was a bit weak. We'll get to that.

Flavor, medium. Strenght light/med. Nothing complex in this smoke. Just nice tobacco. No wowing, but I wasn't disappointed.

Now I did mess up the head a bit, but it started to fall apart. Badly. Then twice it started to burn in an S shape on one side. Had to correct twice.

Over all I think there are other things in the shop I'd like to try for the price, but if a cheap deal came around on a box it would be a good hand out for those that don't smoke often.

It would probably make a reasonable regular cheap stick, but I only smoke once maybe twice a week at most.

My B&M gave me a Moontrance to try to make up for it.

Re: La Flora De Maria Mancini

Not a bad price on that one in the B&M. Personally I prefer the maduros. I agree with what you say about them being a solid smoke out of the box but nothing overwhelming. However, but the do get quite a bit better with some age. Last weekend I had a 2 year old "Magic Mountain" from Maria Mancini that was quite good. I have some robustos in the cooler, but I don't plan to touch them until they have more than a year. For this cheapie it is hard to say if they are worth the trouble to store them, but for me I would say yes - but there are plenty of other good low-cost smokes out there as well.
