perdomo 2 Review

I had one of these 10 minutes ago and i have to say they are pretty good. Perdomo makes a good cigar they have a spicy taste to them with hints of toast and roasted nuts. They are really good. Intresting shape and toro shape at both ends little light on the smoke at first due to the shape but as soon as you hit the wider part they get lots better. I recieved this from a nother botl. Lights easy and no corrections were needed burned well and they give a good buzz took me about 40 minutes to smoke. Im deffinatly gonna need to pick up a few more of these. PERDOMO gets the Darb85 stamp of approval.

has a dark oily apperance but smokes with a medium strenth taste.

Re: perdomo 2

Have to agree with you. I've had a couple of the torfecto maduros. Surprisingly likeable, but the best part about them is they can be had on Satanbid for ~ $15 / 10. Could make them a go-to smoke.

Re: perdomo 2

Hungsolo totally fell in love with these after I gifted him one. He just got a box of the Maduro Torfectos for around $40 off of the *cough cough* site. I think Perdomos really shine when aged properly but can be quite nasty young. The first 3 Perdomo 2's I had I didn't care for at all; however I totally love the Lusitania line Perdomo makes for Mikes. I am going to talk Aaron out of a couple of the Torfectos to give them another shot.

Re: perdomo 2

I totally agree with TxMatt on aging the Perdomo 2s. I received three at a Big Smoke in Dallas two years ago, smoked one that night and promptly dumped the other two in the bottom of one of my humidors.

Last night I was getting a little desperate, definately needing to restock on my go-tos, and deicded to give the little box-pressed guy another go. I was definately impressed. It burned well, had a good, if not very strong, flavor and was totally unlike the cigar I remember smoking at the event.

Re: perdomo 2

I likes em, but rarely buy em. There are some well aged Perdomos layin' around in humidors; might have to dig one out as I've been delving in the aging box a bit lately.
Smoked a 3 year old Puros Indios Presidente today & it has come along nicely.

Re: perdomo 2

I lit up Perdomo made Revolucion Maddie tonite. Good smoke....very smooth med/full bodied, similar to the Perdomo2. Much cheaper too!!!

Re: perdomo 2

Weren't the "Pre-embargo" and "Genuine Counterfiet Cubans" from JR's made by Perdomo? I thought they were. With some age, they were pretty darn good cigars......and they're cheap!

Re: perdomo 2

Perdomo makes some great cigars. I am a big fan of the La Tradicion Cabinet series. The silver band is the Cameroon wrapper, the red band is the maduro wrapper, and the gold band is the new "Champagne" stick that has a Connecticut shade wrapper. All are terrific, but my favorite is the Cameroon. the maduro seemed to lack a bit in strength compared to other maduros I smoke, but that cameroon is delicious!

As far as the Champagne goes, it has quickly replaced a few other mild cigars that I used to smoke. I now prefer it over the CAO gold and the Cusano 18. It even gives a Butera a good run for it's money!!

You really can't go wrong with any of these......they get 2 thumbs up from me.

However, I must say the Edicion De Silvio double corona is over-priced. At around $25 a stick.....I think one can do better elsewhere.....

Re: perdomo 2

I recently came into possession of one of these babies from a newbie trade (thanks franksmith), got the oppurtunity to smoke it yesterday. Never had one, never heard of one, waited until I smoked it to look for reviews, so as not to influence my taste test.

Good pre-light flavor, mine was a easy draw. Lit with very nice aroma, and no start-up bitters. I found the flavor to be full, but definitely on the sweet side. Good burn, and burn time, average to above average amount of smoke quantity. Based on full taste, I expected a heavy buzz, but only a meduim hit here (which is good for me).

Overall would give the smoke a 3.5, maybe a 4. I would buy more than one of these in the future if I run across a good deal, one or two at average prices (until a good deal pops up)!

I like the Perdomo 2 Milenario mistakes that can be had from .. cough cough .. certain places at good prices. I think I paid 28 bucks the last bundle (25) of Cammy I purchased.

Re: perdomo 2

I like the Perdomo 2 Milenario. I got 3 Maduros and 3 Cameroons in a Torpedo sampler from Cbid at a good price. The cameroons have the most unique texture I've ever experienced. I'm talking about the feel of the wrapper in your mouth.

Sean, the maduro Perdomo 2 Mistakes I received from you in the newb win a bomb contest, tasted better than the regular full priced ones. Maybe they had more age on them?

I bought them some time last year .... but who knows how long they were sitting. A nice toothy wrapper for sure.

Re: perdomo 2

I have an Edicion De Silvio Double Corona/Churhill-ish size waiting the day I have long enough to smoke it.

I am now out of the Perdomo made Lusitanias, and will order some more when I have enough room in my humi. (stop bombing me you bastages!, well maybe a few more bombs would be OK)

I understand the "Cuban Bullet" sandwich cigars at JR are made by Perdomo as well. I wouldn't give a $30/bndl sandwich cigar (with the word "Cuban" in its name no less) consideration except it comes in a nice 4x54 torpedo vitola. IHT calls cigars of this shape "butt plugs" but I just smoke 'em.
