Padilla Hybrid being discontinued?

Hello,

I remember reading something not too long ago that the Hybrid was going to be discontinued. I then later remember speaking to someone in the cigar business that said this was not true.

What exactly is going on with Hybrid?

Personally, I think it is a very nice cigar and look forward to smoking more in the near future. I would hate to have to start buying them up now if they were in fact going to be discontinued.

Thanks
-Walt

I too have heard conflicting stories about the Hybrid's future. A Padilla rep recently at my local B&M told it was discontinued. But I have also heard that the opposite is true. I really like this cigar - so I stock up whenever I find some.

I've been told by two different reps that they are indeed being discontinued. They are an ok smoke & if you can pick them up discounted, they will be a great value smoke. They did have some construction and consistancy issues in the beginning and I think they never overcame the stigma associated with that.
Watch for CI or Famous to liquidate for some great deals. The B&M's won't be getting many in from now on, so you may get a deal from some of them too.

What a shame...I really enjoyed them. The trapezoidal box was pretty neat too.

Hybrid available at cigarsinternational.com

The Hybrid is still in production. They are now available thru www.cigarsinternational.com

We have some new blends this year:
Briefly

The 1948 - Criollo wrapper made by Pepin Garcia in Nicaragua about 8 to 9 dollars- a medium body smoke, complex and a slightly new twist on the Pepin style.

The Series 68 -a true Corojo wrapper all Nicaraguan fillers medium-full
Bold but smooth. 6 to 7 dollars great flavor for the money!

And last a limited edition made by Pepin Garcia: The 1932 Oscuro Limitado wich will come in a custom Humidor with 45 cigars in 3 sizes: robusto, churchill and torpedo. Yes, its expensive but we only made 13,500 cigars in only 300 humidors this is a great maduro Pepin and I worked hard on this one and himself and I are proud of this blend. It's a nicaraguan maduro 7th priming with aged corojo and criollo nicaraguan fillers.

we only had enough of this wrapper to make 300 humidors worth trying. Will be released towrds the end of September and once they are they are gone.

Thanks.

I don't know if the Miami is going to be made anymore. What I do know is that Pepin will not be making the Miami (as well as the 1932 and the 194 for Padilla.

Now this really bites--I have only tried the 8/11 and have been wanting to try the 1932 & 48. I guess it would be a waste of time being I won't be able to purchase if I enjoy it---:huh_oh:

I don't know what to expect. The Miami, 1932 and 1948 were some on my favorite cigars.

I can tell you that I had the new Miami when I was with Ernesto last month and I can tell you that it will be one of the top cigars for this year hands down. I had the robusto and a lancero and the robusto is by far my favorite of the two. The old Miami was nice but a bit mild for my taste. The new wrapper on the Miami makes it perfect. I will be picking up a box of the robustos for sure soon.

I will post more videos of Ernesto talking about the other two cigars you mentioned this weekend.
