Padilla at Houston RTDA 2007

Hello members I wanted to let you know that I had the chance to talk with Ernesto Padilla when I was at the RTDA here in Houston. I thanked Ernesto for being one of the first people to support CigarLive.com. Ernesto also was kind enough to grab handfulls of his new cigars that he wanted me to try.

His new cigars are the Signature 1948, 1968, and new 1932 Oscuro.

Signature 1948 Shown Below

So I had some time to sit down one night at the bar at the hotel with some other members at RTDA and smoke the 1932 Oscuro. I got two words for this cigar, "Get IT". I believe this will be one of the next hottest cigars. The 1932 is nice but the 1932 Oscuro puts it right in my taste range that I like. Bold and rich this cigar is one that you will enjoy. As I was smoking the cigar I saw Ernesto walk into the entrance of the bar and since the ash on the cigar was at about an inch and a half I had to show him.

As most know since I try lots of cigars I find myself waiting to see what others will say about them after I smoke them. I can not wait until you members get to try this cigar. I am not sure when they will start to show up in stores but remember the two words when you see them in your local shop, "Get It".

Thanks again Ernesto for your support of CigarLive.com

This is the 1932 Oscuro in my hand!

Love the regular 1932, can't wait for the oscuro, didn't see that one in Houston. I did try the '48 & '68. Way to mild and bland for me, tried 3 of a couple of sizes, just not my kind of stick.

We have some new blends this year:
Briefly

The 1948 - Criollo wrapper made by Pepin Garcia in Nicaragua about 8 to 9 dollars- a medium body smoke, complex and a slightly new twist on the Pepin style.

The Series 68 -a true Corojo wrapper all Nicaraguan fillers medium-full
Bold but smooth. 6 to 7 dollars great flavor for the money!

And last a limited edition made by Pepin Garcia: The 1932 Oscuro Limitado wich will come in a custom Humidor with 45 cigars in 3 sizes: robusto, churchill and torpedo. Yes, its expensive but we only made 13,500 cigars in only 300 humidors this is a great maduro Pepin and I worked hard on this one and himself and I are proud of this blend. It's a nicaraguan maduro 7th priming with aged corojo and criollo nicaraguan fillers.

we only had enough of this wrapper to make 300 humidors worth trying. Will be released towrds the end of September and once they are they are gone.

Thanks.
