Gettysburg Area Smoke Shops
I've got three I'll let everyone know about:
Gettysburg Cigar Co. - This place is located out near the battlefield tour bus depot on Baltimore street. Its kind of hard to see if you're not from around the area, but its right next to a Rita's. The guy who owns the store is Gary (and his wife, who's name I can't recall). They are very stand-up people, always willing to discuss cigars and history with their customers (though if you're offended by colorful language, you might be uncomfortable). Ask them about the picture of a ghost they have, they'll gladly tell you the whole story. Gary has a great selection of smokes, focusing on a lot of his favorites (among them are the Padron Anniversary series, Tatuaje sticks, and Illusiones). They also have a few in house pipe tobacco blends, all named after civil war generals who fought at Gettysburg. There is a small area in the rear of the shop to sit and smoke if you don't feel like walking around the battlefields.
Union Cigar Club - This place is also on Baltimore Street, in near the square. If you're walking through downtown Gettysburg, you won't miss it. They have a pretty good selection and seem to focus a lot of attention on their Rocky blends. My only problem with this place is the service, they aren't very personable if you don't belong to the club. I've been in there and walked around looking for ten minutes or more without a 'hello' or a 'can I help you?'. Overall, good selection, mediocre service. If you're a member, though, you get top notch facilities to smoke in. Leather chairs, big screen tv, espresso machine, the works.
Boswell's Pipes - This place is actually located in Chambersburg off the Lincoln highway exit of I-81. The cigar selection is fairly good, they carry Padron Anniversary series (all) and usually have Oliva V's and Nubs in stock. The family focuses on their pipe tobacco blends and friendly, knowledgable service. They hand carve all the pipes they sell and take great pride in their establishment. The smoking area upstairs is a great environment. Leather chairs and a big screen tv get you comfortable and complimentary soft drinks keep you that way. They even have a bunch of their pipe tobaccos sitting around in containers for you to sample while playing a game of chess. Really a great environment and a great shop.
