    Wow, now that sir is impressive. Very nice transformation. The end result is really sharp. Thanks for sharing, that's a great slide show.

    Hey Doug, what color dye/stain did you use? Do you stop sanding at 400 grit of is that just at point of the photo?

    Yes, I stop sanding at 400. But that is with Abranet. When I used regular sandpaper I went down to 600. Then Tripoli and White Diamond. I do not stain. I feel that almost all wood in general, and briar in particular, are beautiful enough on their own.

    The natural finish looks fantastic. I don't know why more pipe makers don't sell natural finish pipes. Do you find that the pipes color at all as they are smoked?

    Yes. The beautiful blonde transforms into a gorgeous brunette.
