VaPer sample scents
So I got a few small samples from Outwesttobacco.com (which I got quick, fast and in a hurry.) I am limiting this strictly to the olfactory impression I get from the sample bags (bulk). I am also not going to talk about smoking at this point - this is just aroma. (I started smoking VaPer at 5am today and my palate is scorched. After some recovery I will work on taste notes.)
McC 2015 - forget ketchup - people pick up some rich and sweet scents and this is just an easy, generic label - this smells of earth and deep rich dark stone fruits, sulphury molasses, a dry cellar and dark smokiness - this has so much aroma that you can taste it just by sticking your nose in the bag
PS Lux Navy Flake - leather - honestly, a nice and clean smell like you built a camp fire from dried cedar in the back of a Wilson's leather shop
PS Bullseye Flake - Tea, just like lipton tea bags mixed with a bare hint of citrus and something between cut grass and dry hay
Okay, one taste note - all seem to have one thing in common, this coppery tang that seems like an almost galvanic response of the tongue to perique. Finish and aftertaste for hours after smoking.
My exposure to these tobaccos forces thoughts of crawdads, boudin, beignets, and Mississippi river water.
Found a direction to point my hobby in for a while...
